THE LORD'S SHIP
“Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved.”
—Acts 27:31 (NKJV)”
The word ship means‘ A large boat that carries people or goods by sea.’. In a ship there is always a “captain” with a “compass”, who will direct the ship to the sea shore.
A captain is the only one in charge of what will happen in the ship. He is responsible for the ship movement and sailing.
Now, there is a a ship called, “THE SHIP OF SALVATION”— that is, a ship that will save, deliver and safeguard the life of passengers. As a matter of fact, it is a ship that take one's soul to eternal life. It is however known, that Christ Jesus is the captain of the ship ‘no doubt ’.
Competently, there are other ships, having different captain. — remember the ship going to Tarshish (In the book of Jonah). Not only that, there are ships without no destination and no purpose, ship of sin (unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. )Also, ship of no return....Therefore , I call those kind of ships “THE SHIP OF DAMNATION”—ship that take one's soul to destruction. You yourself know the captain of that ship, The devil.
Let me clarify something about the ship of life. “in this world, there are only two ships as earlier mentioned (the ship of salvation and the ship of damnation). Therefore, you cannot be in those two ship at the same time, it's impossible, it's either you choose. Notwithstanding, your present life will determine your choice and the choice you make today will discern your future. And will I tell you this THE FUTURE IS NOW ”
Allow me to drive this: Paul said “For it was fitting for Christ Jesus , for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make ‘THE CAPTAIN OF THEIR SALVATION’ perfect through sufferings.”
—Hebrews 2:10 (emphasis added)
The word ‘sons’ means “any human being that believe in that captain”. No one will charter a ship without any agreement with the captain. If you make a choice to sail in the ship of salvation, you must agree with the captain of the ship which is Captain Jesus.
What you need to do is just a little conversation with Him, surrender your heart to him, tell him you are sorry for choosing the wrong ship (The Ship Of Damnation). Confess your sins to Him, Ask him to take off the wheels from your hand. Tell Him that, as from today, have made you the Captain of my Salvation. Lastly, believe in your heart that He as done it. (Amen)
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
“ I am now giving you the choice between life and death, between God's blessing and God's curse, and I call heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Choose life.... ”
